The boys volleyball team matched up against the Christopher Cougars on Tuesday, winning 3-0 and keeping their winning streak alive.

Early into the game, senior Nick Mego set the tone by acquiring numerous kills to place the Bruins ahead of the Acorns. Alongside Mego, junior Kai Wong was a key player on offense and defense, obtaining kills and blocks throughout the set. The Bruins won the first set with a score of 25-19.

Continuing into the second set, senior Patrick Wilson connected with junior middle hitter Satya Raman on multiple occasions to maintain a strong lead against the Cougars. In response, the Cougars attempted to gain momentum; however, they were stopped by sophomore libero Anthony Park, who made critical digs to maintain Branham’s lead. The Bruins won the second set 25-22. 

In the third set, both teams scored back and forth for the first 10 points. However, senior Marty Jones gained multiple kills continuously to create a lead and to establish the Bruins as the dominant opponent of the match. They swept the Acorns and won the final set 25-20. 

Additionally, JV won with a score of 2-0. 

On Wednesday against the Leland Chargers, the Bruins won 3-1. They defeated Rio Americano 2-1 yesterday, remaining first in the Mount Hamilton division. Next, the Bruins will play against Westmont on April 14 at 6:45 p.m.
